Eurocopter Side Platform

This platform was originally requested by Canadian helicopter operator, CHC, for providing safer and faster turnaround times for maintaining their fleet of Eurocopters. SafeSmart took specs, measurements and maintenance concerns from the aircraft and designed this platform – it is easily wheeled up to the aircraft by hand, and secured into position, giving the technician close access to critical areas whilst reducing the risk of falls.

Since manufacturing this platform, other operators of the same aircraft have purchased it and gained benefits from its instant edge protection and ease of use. Pictured here is the platform in use by and Australian air ambulance operator.
